What is RTNZ?Round Table New Zealand (RTNZ) is a National Association of Tables (Clubs) spread throughout New Zealand comprising of responsible young men between the ages of 18 and 45 years. RTNZ offers a practical means of self development, enlarging friendships, participating in community service and promoting international understanding and goodwill. Individual Clubs Each Club is autonomous and can within the broad framework of the national constitution set its own rules and develop its own personality to suit the needs of its members and the local community in which it serves. Each Club draws its membership from young men who live or work in the locality with which it is associated. A Clubs membership of between 20 and 40 is considered ideal. Clubs generally meet fortnightly. Visiting speakers are invited to talk on topics of an informative nature. The feeling of equality at meetings encourages all members to contribute to activities and discussions. The ideals of fellowship through service are realised by Clubs in their community service undertakings. Clubs frequently assist in work of a civic or charitable nature at local, national and international levels. International Affiliations
RTNZ is a member of the World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs (WOCO) along with other National or Territorial Club associations. These include: Round Table, separate National Associations in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, Apex in Australia and Asia and Kinsmen in Canada. RTNZ Logo
The centerpiece of our badge is the silver fern, the national emblem of New Zealand. The surround symbolises King Arthur’s Round Table of English legend. There is no factual connection; the design merely stresses the equality of young men meeting round a table. Events and ActivitiesWhat kind of Activities are there? The sky is literally the limit when it comes to the numerous activities that Round Table members can find to take part in: - Parachuting, gliding and flying
- Abseiling down tall buildings
- Driving tanks and go-karts
- Sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving
In fact, the only limit is your enthusiasm, so if there is something you have always wanted to do, then Round Table is the ideal chance for you to have a go. That's why our unofficial motto is: 'We don't just sit there' What about Social Events and Family?
