Meanwhile down in South Canterbury, Round Table Timaru have been helping keep the towns residents warm with their Fire wood fundraiser. Thanks to Grant Marshall and the team at Timaru Hire for the good deal on the wood chipper, Howard for the trees and the Table boys that turned up, apparently still lots more to keep them busy!

We’ve booked a Thai Restaurant in Paeroa for this years club Christmas dinner on 2nd December. Round Table Thames have arranged to get Christmas Trees cut for us from the forestry on Friday 12th December and we sell them at our local liquor store car park on Saturday 13th.
We are providing money for Thames Fire Brigade, Thames Scouts and Tapu Fire Brigade from our end of year projects”.
Mosgiel Sentenced to Hard Time (Finally).
What have Round Table Mosgiel been up to? From the Pen of Grant Gibson
Away Trips
Recent away trips – Milton Hilton – Prison visit which was a fantastic chance to see the inner workings of the prison, and what is being done to rehabilitate prisoners. This is after going through a local hot rod collection, as well as a visit to the local funeral home over the past few months.
Social Events –
Annual Fishing Trip – Lake Benmore. Around 25 current and ex tablers invaded Lake Benmore for the annual fishing trip. Sixth year in a row at this location, and some new stories were added to the legend of the Mosgiel Round Table fishing weekend.
Projects
We have the Christmas Gifts project again this year, providing gifts to under privileged children in the Taieri region, with BNZ and Warehouse supporting us. Last year over 230 gifts were provided to the region. We have also been working on wood chopping, with most of the massive loads of wood now ringed and ready for splitting. We take a major part in the Can Drive around the Mosgiel region. We are also erecting the community Christmas Tree down the main street of Mosgiel. As well as that, we have the A&P show, for which we do the parking.
Balclutha Helps Local Surf Lifesavers
Round Table Balclutha take safety in the water seriously, they have made a good donation to the Kaka Point Surf lifesavers club recently.
The boys have also helped out a local knitting club and are looking forward to the family event – Christmas in the Park.
Wanganui, Pride of the District

Up to their knees in it….
The cheeky lads at Gore have been busy on their fertiliser drive. This project teams up Round Table Gore with the local Ford dealer and the Gore Air Training corps, to make a difference locally. Also Gore has their annual xmas tree hunt coming up on December 6th and December 13th
Christmas Giving Tree
A huge shout out to Round Table Mosgiel for this idea. Round Table Christchurch and Balclutha are adopting this Christmas project, hopefully come December 25th putting smiles on lots of Kiwi kids faces.
The Christchurch boys had a really good laugh planning and making our tree on Sunday afternoon. No limbs were lost whilst using the skillsaw, so a successful day all round.
